The latest musical offering from Every Nation Music, the Wings EP“, is FINALLY HERE!!!
I’ve been so encouraged and inspired by the many new songs being birthed in the Every Nation family of churches. This particular EP was written out of a writer’s retreat in Nashville, TN with worship leaders and writers from EN North America from Cali to Kennesaw.

I am super proud to have been one of the many collaborators for this project. I had the joy of co-writing the opening track “Many Waters” with my dear friends Chris Davis (Mid-Cities) and Robert Ellis (Grace Covenant). That is only one of five fantastic tracks on this record!

I believe you are gonna love it!

Get it TODAY wherever music is sold online and please leave a review!

I love going places! I love visiting new cities, meeting new people, and I particularly enjoy experiencing new restaurants!

That’s almost exactly the order of my questioning when I’m going to speak, teach, or lead worship at an event. “Tell me about your city. Tell me about your people. Where are we going to eat? BAMM! LET’S GO!”

Anywho, as much as I like to go places, I’m not a huge fan of the travel, and I HATE DELAYS!

When I first started traveling, just the packing itself would drive me crazy. I’ve had my share of missing or misplaced bags, so I try to avoid checking a bag if I can. However, trying to decided what to pack on a three day trip when I’m only taking a carry-on can almost require a word of prophecy. I would start recalling lessons from my mom about making sure I always have plenty of clean underwear. Then I’m making sure my shower gell and toothpaste tubes meet the proper size requirements as to not alert the TSA agents.

Oh yes, the TSA agents! Continue Reading…

The Fall Album Art

I am excited to announce the release of “The Fall – EP”!!!

For those of you who are just tuning in, “The Fall – EP” is part 2 of a two EP worship project titled “The Rise & The Fall”. On January 1, 2014 (our anniversary) my wife and I took a HUGE leap and launched a Kickstarter campaign that would fund this worship project and with the prayers and backing of over 250 amazing people we exceeded our goal and have been able to go on the most incredible journey to bring these songs to you.

“The Fall – EP” particularly comes from a very deep place in Kelley and I. The song “Hold Me Still” was the very first song we wrote after our precious daughter Aria Joy went to be with the Lord. “All of You” was such a personal reminder of ALL that Christ had given us in the midst of what felt like the greatest loss we’d ever experienced. “Burn Afresh” is a declaration and a prayer boasting in the relentless love of God and requesting that we be compelled by that love, especially on the days when we don’t “feel” like it. “Lay it Down” is an anthem of surrender and trusting God beyond what we can understand or control. This EP also features a spoken word piece written by Kelley that may easily be one of the best messages I’ve heard when it comes to grief and suffering. I believe this EP is full of honest confessions and hope-filled declarations that every believer can connect to in the various places of life. Continue Reading…

“The Rise – EP” is a celebration of resurrection life! It is a reminder of the victory Jesus won over Death and what that means for us now and forever! This EP is intentionally being released before Easter.  However, this project is a 365 day reminder that, “new life is BREAKING OUT” because Christ has overcome!!! LET’EM KNOW!!!

Now we wouldn’t have an EP to release if it weren’t for the amazing support of so many!!! Since this release is digital only I wanted to post album credits for the EP right here on my blog!!! Here are some of the people that made this record possible.

Rhema Soul is a next level hip hop trio comprised of “juanlove”, “Butta P”, and “K-Nuff”; based out of South Florida but making waves nationally and across the globe. They come with a perfect blend of heart provoking life challenging lyrics, hot beats, and memorable hooks that will make you wanna sing em over and over again (especially if you have a 5 and 3yr old that are addicted to them).

With a combination of creativity, fearless artistry, relentless hustle, and the favor of God they have steadily risen above the crowded atmosphere of MC’s into a class of their own.

Not only will they be performing LIVE TONIGHT at the Campus Harvest after party but they will also join our “Guerrilla Artistry” panel discussion where we’ll discuss the use of creativity for Kingdom impact and cultural change.

For the first time ever, Campus Harvest is coming to Jacksonville, FL…THIS WEEKEND!!! Students from all over the Southeast region will be gathering at Southpoint Community Church to encounter God and be forever changed. For over 20yrs Campus Harvest has served as a catalyst for transformation in the hearts of students all over the world and this year will be no exception! Already this year Campus Harvest has hosted student conferences in Calgary, Los Angeles, and Durham, NC.

I’ve had the joy of being a part of the Campus Harvest team for the last 12yrs, but every year I am reminded about the first time I attended. In 2001, I was invited to attended Campus Harvest by a friend of mine from our local church dance team who refused to take no for an answer. I was reluctant to come because I knew God was drawing me in and wanting to speak to me, but I had become quite comfortable playing the role of Jonah and pretending not to care.

I boarded the white 15 passenger van intentionally sitting shotgun because I didn’t want to have to talk to the “happy christian white kids in the back”. I now realize that the opposition and resistance I was feeling was the reeling of every oppressive circumstance and influencing lie that knew the end was coming for them.

Dashing All The Way!

December 11, 2012 — Leave a comment

This Sunday at Southpoint Community Church was a BLAST! One of my favorite creatives Chelsea Terwilliger had a brilliant vision of encouraging people to slow down and stop “dashing” through the season by creating this 1940’s musical styled piece. The Southpoint creative team put together an amazing experience that included a full big band (under the direction of our Worship Pastor Kurt Hawthorne), cops in our rotunda handing out tickets for “dashing” too quickly,  and newsies selling “papes”…yes, NEWSIES!!! One day Christian Bale will return to his roots… selah.

The piece was so much fun that I just had to share it. Enjoy “DASHING”.
